 Battalion Chief Riedel has been with the Crestview Fire Department for over 12 years. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force Fire Protection Service, after 22 years of service.  He has a Bachelors Degree of Applied Sciences in Fire Management and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in General Studies and Personnel Management.  He is certified by the Internation Fire Service Congress as a Fire Officer II, Fire Inspector II, Fire Instructor II and Fire Investigator II. He is certified by the National Board of Fire Service Professional Qualifications as a Fire Inspector II and Plan Examiner I.  He is also certified by the State of Florida as a Certfied Firefighter, Fire Officer, Fire Instructor and Fire Inspector.  He has a wife and two grown children.
